Tasked with finding a new direction for the critical writing workshop – a fixture of the Sonic Acts programme for the past decade – Hannah Pezzack organised the first edition of Feedback Loops.
Led by Martina Raponi/noiserr and guest host Cara Mayer, the workshop responded to recent developments in cultural analysis, contemporary arts journalism, and academia, seeking out embodied forms of writing, sensing, and sound-making.
Feedback Loops culminated with a broadcast on Radio WORM. Guided by prompts, attendees presented their research, assembled texts, sounds and reflections gathered during the Biennial, and took part in a roundtable, podcast-style discussion.
