Sonic Acts Symposium

Assistant Curator

The two-day conference, held at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, in February 2024, featured enriching dialogues, lectures, and performative presentations that addressed the ongoing climate emergency.

Offering insight into experimental and innovative practices – both academic and artistic – the symposium thought across disciplines, exposing ways of relating to the world around us that emphasise the senses and embodied knowledge. Theorists, artists, and researchers  – including Astrida Neimanis, Denise Ferreira da Silva, Elvia Wilk, and Margarida Mendes – explored these ideas and imagined new possibilities.

Part of New Perspectives for Action, a project by Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by the European Union.
